Olive Oil-Enriched Soaps

Olive oil has long been recognized for it's mild, cleansing properties when used as an ingredient in soap making. That is why, years ago, when we were researching which oils to use in our specialty soaps, we decided that emollient olive oil should play a starring role in every bar!
Yes, olive oil costs a little more to use, especially in the generous amounts we add to our soap recipes! But our goal has always been to provide our customers with a premium bar of hand-made soap that is both mild and luxurious. Olive oil is simply hard to beat.
Once the soap is made, we add an extra measure of olive oil to enrich (super-fat) the creamy batter, just before we pour it into the mold. This bonus addition of emollient oil insures that once the soap is fully cured, extra olive oil remains suspended in the bar. Premium soap, super-fatted in this way, are notable for their mild nature and their rich, creamy, irridescent, lather...a hallmark of Still-Point Soap.
